He recalled their last conversation, where Hudson had seemed happy and had sent a text saying, “I love you dad.” Madsen revealed that Hudson had been facing challenges after his army service, particularly after asking for therapy and being mocked. Hudson was married to Carlie and living in Hawaii at the time of his death.
