Lydia’s gut told her something was wrong, but her husband Mark dismissed it. Then her daughter, Ellie, whispered, “Mom, I just saw a camera in the room.” Lydia’s instincts were right.
Lydia sat stiffly at the kitchen table, uneasy. Mark, relaxed as always, didn’t understand her worries about Ellie’s sleepover at Kara’s house. Lydia’s bad feeling grew when Ellie called, trembling, about the camera. Mark brushed it off, but Lydia wasn’t convinced.
When Lydia arrived at Kara’s house, she found Ellie safe but shaken. Kara claimed the camera was for safety, but when Lydia pressed her, Kara reluctantly agreed to delete the footage. Lydia wasn’t fooled, though.
The drive home was tense. Mark defended Kara, and Lydia couldn’t shake her anger. The next morning, Lydia found an email from Kara on Mark’s laptop, hinting at footage of Ellie. Lydia rushed to Kara’s house, bursting in to find Mark and Kara watching a recording of Ellie, who had been tricked into saying she preferred being at Kara’s.
Emma, Kara’s daughter, confessed it was all a game. Kara’s true intentions were revealed, and Mark, finally seeing the truth, left with Lydia and Ellie.
The ride home was silent, but in the end, they were united. Lydia squeezed Mark’s hand, knowing they’d come through this stronger, together.
