Kevin Bacon Reveals Disturbing Discovery While Filming ‘Wild Things’

Kevin Bacon recently shared a chilling behind-the-scenes moment from the set of his 1998 film Wild Things. While promoting his new series The Bondsman, Bacon recalled how the crew discovered a dead body during production. While filming near a swamp, a crew member reported seeing a “floater” — a body floating by.

The incident occurred in the Everglades, and filming was briefly halted as authorities investigated. Director John McNaughton confirmed the pause, noting that the police removed the body before it appeared on camera.

Wild Things is a neo-noir thriller set in Blue Bay, Florida, where high school counselor Sam Lombardo (Matt Dillon) is accused of rape by two students, leading to twists and deceptions. Bacon played Detective Ray Duquette, and the film also starred Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, and Bill Murray.
